Days 2-5

Sorry ! Sorry for not blogging daily, I quickly found out it's kind of a hassle. But I think you'll be very pleased to hear that I'm keeping up with everything I said i would. I even surprised my self! I never follow through with any goals, especially weight loss ones,  and this is the first time i dieted and exercised for a full week! And hardcore, i might add. I've been doing everything from kickboxing, to aerobics, to pilates and yoga I literally became addicted to burning calories! according to MyFitnessPal i'm burning 800+ calories a day.

As for dieting, i still eat what i normally eat but for once i'm keeping my whole daily intake under 1200 calories and i have to say its all with the help of tracking my food and exercise. I used to think how lame, whats writing down what i eat and how many calories it is going to do for me, but it really works! It jedi mind tricks you, if normally i would eat a snickers i would because who would know i'm consuming an extra 150 calories, but when you track it and you see that takes away calories from your day, you choose not to eat the snickers and instead choose a healthy snack.

I suggest that everyone trying to lose weight uses MyFitnessPal as their number one tool, I can't stress it enough! I'm so glad i found it.

Well that's all for now, tomorrow I will blog again foor my weekly weigh in! Remember the goal is 3 pounds a week, so lets hope for that (or more) :)

Seventeen Magazine Workouts

My Favorite thing about 17 magazine is their health section! I love getting them every month just to rip out the new Workout page and healthy eating tips! It's so fun, This is what i mean when i say i'm doing circuit training. It doesnt look like much at first glance, but sometimes it also includes a 30 min. cardio activity before doing the moves. Or some require a 5 min. warm up and repeating the moves a few more times.

Day 1

And so it begins....

So far for today my calorie intake has been under control. I just need to get to exercising. I'm planning on first doing a half hour of circuit training, ten later a half hour of strength followed by a half hour of cardio, then later, a half hour of pilates as a cool down. Then I will have completed my 2 hours a day plan.

I love exercising, I really dont know why everyone complains about it, my only trouble with it is finding the time. Now though, that I'm out of school i can finally workout my hardest!

Btw, I log my calorie intake and exercises using MyFitnessPal, its online and completly free. I really like how user friendly the website is, very simple with quick links and a huge food and exercise database.

UPDATE
I have finished all my exercises for today, I felt amazing after my workouts. I did Pilates for the firstime ever today and I have to say its my favorite thing! I love how relaxing it is, but its quite the workout. As long as you breath and exhale, you'll stay ralaxed but always engaged in your powerhouse the whole time.

According to an online calorie burn calculator I burned 830 calories !!

Battle of the Buldge

As previously stated this is a weight loss blog. Specifically my weight loss blog. Everyone reading are simply wittnessess to my journey.  Lets hope this is a successful one. I guess I should start with a goal, right? Sooo hmmm...

Goal: Lose 40 pounds in 3 months

Thats about 13 pounds a month. Which is about 3.25 pounds a week. I will weigh myself weekly and post how much I lost that week, if I meant my weekly goal, and how much more I need to lose.  Now with every goal comes a challenge or a plan. So hmmm...

Plan: Eat 1200 calories a Day & Excercise 5 days a week/ 2-3 hours a day

For exercise I will use different home workout DVDs including:
  • Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred
  • Total Body Sculpt with Gilad
  • In Shape with Sharon Mann
Also using different circuit training moves and routines.

So why did I decide to blog this for EVERYONE to see?? I needed some kind of motivation, something that would make me stick to my goal, because with out no progress I'd have no posts!

(At the end I will post before & after pics!)
